Shutters

Built-In Character That Outlasts Every Other Window Treatment

Unlike blinds or shades, shutters mount directly into your window frame — they read as architecture, not an accessory, and they’re the one window treatment that consistently adds resale value to a home. We install Graber shutters in three materials, each engineered for a different climate and budget.

Plantation Shutters

Wide 3.5″ to 4.5″ louvers for maximum light and view-through, the classic profile for traditional and coastal homes alike.

Wood Shutters

Genuine basswood, hand-finished and hinged, for the richest grain and the best strength-to-weight ratio on oversized panels.

Vinyl & Composite Shutters

Waterproof, all-weather panels engineered specifically for bathrooms, kitchens, and humid coastal exposure.

Why Shutters Cost More — and Last Decades Longer

Shutters carry a higher price tag than blinds or shades because they’re not really a “window treatment” in the same sense — they’re a built-in fixture, hinged directly to your window frame with a frame of their own. That’s also why they hold up for decades rather than years: there’s no cord, no lift string, no fabric to fade, just solid panels and hinges. Homeowners routinely recover a meaningful share of the cost at resale, something that’s rarely true of blinds or curtains.

Matching Material to the Room

Real wood is the right choice for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, where its grain and hand-finished stain justify the investment. Vinyl and composite shutters are the better call in bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms, where they’re engineered to be fully waterproof and won’t swell, warp, or peel the way any wood product eventually will near constant moisture. Louver width is a separate decision from material: wider louvers (3.5″–4.5″) let in more light and view-through, while narrower louvers give a more traditional, formal look on smaller windows.

Residential & Commercial

We work with homeowners and business owners alike to find shutters that match your décor and enhance your space.
