Meet Francis Pena, Founder of Heritage Window Treatments

Francis Pena came to the United States from the Dominican Republic at nine years old. He got his start in the trades working at a hardware store, and in 2016, at 20 years old, he began installing window treatments for a family member’s business — handling up to nine jobs a day across the company’s contracts, from the first phone call to the final measurement to the installation itself.
By the time he had learned every side of the business — sales, measuring, installation, and customer service — he knew he could run it on his own. He founded Heritage Window Treatments in 2018, taking on his own contracts and building the company job by job. In 2024, Heritage became an authorized Graber dealer, letting Francis offer customers a genuine, name-brand product line instead of an unfamiliar private-label imitation.
Today, Francis still runs every project personally — no call center, no rotating subcontractors. He is bilingual and serves customers in both English and Spanish, and as a Latino-owned business, Heritage brings the same hands-on care he learned doing nine jobs a day to every home and business on Long Island.
